Food. Monday, 2 August 2010.

Today, being the first day in the studio, we had "better" things to do than waste time and brain energy on making tasty foods. Sandwiches, bought soup and microwave meals dominated. 

Martin won because he had home-made macaroni cheese, with a bechamel made from milk that had been used to poach some smoked haddock. Top quality.

A James Special (roast beef, smoked applewood cheese, mayonnaise and horseradish on toasted croissant);

A Niagra Viagra (chorizo, spicy mayo and gouda on a baguette); both from Il Cappucino on Gt Western Rd.

Wild Mushroom Soup (Covent Garden);

Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup;

Egg and Potato Scone Roll; 

Bacon, Potato Scone, Onions and Brown Sauce; both from Jade's Express Cafe.

Veggie Cannelloni (Tesco, microwaved);

Chicken Tikka Masala (Sainsburys, microwaved);

Pea and Ham Soup (Covent Garden);

Chicken Salad Sandwich (self-assembled by Dominic);

One of the best burgers available in the world, although only on the west coast of USA. Now almost available in your kitchen.
